Hi,
I am using the latest 2008 Spring RC1 live KDE distro to type this reply.
Hardware:
Toshiba Satellite L25-S119
60gb dual boot: XP and Mandriva 2008.0 KDE
Netgear WG511T pcmcia wireless net card
(The onboard Atheros 5005 doesn't work)
USB DVD writer
Targus USB 4-port add-on for stuff
M$ optical mouse (cheap and don't have to worry about ball)
Targus USB laptop cooler (best 24$ I spent - keeps it cool even if I left it on all night (I forgot to last night - wanted to see how DST would work - no problems))
ATI X200 video limited to max 1024x768 without 3D
The only thing I noticed when booting was the local time was actually shown as UTC but when the system finished it was really UTC!!
The splash and backgrounds are really great and the overall contrast is soooooo much better.
