Truesong Tech: "I recently set up Arch Linux (which is awesome, by the way) on my laptop, and noticed a bit of a problem... despite my resolution, 1680x1050, which usually makes fonts look tiny, all of my system fonts were huge."

Buddy Jesus Uses Linux! He died for our sins; he gave the ultimate sacrifice to save humanity; and he was a socialist that would have used Linux instead of Windows given the chance. You only need to quote Jesus to understand he was a true socialist at heart and shunned the rich. To the poor of the land, he would say “Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God” and to the rich of the lands he would say “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth... and go, sell what you have, and give to the poor.” Spoken like a true socialist! In modern times, Jesus would rather live in a socialist country like France where the governments of the land care for the people, and the Linux distributions are many and widespread. In fact, Jesus's contempt for the rich and the capitalist system went further; he was quoted as saying “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Now that we have established that Jesus himself was a true socialist and shunned capitalism, we can agree that he would have no doubt been the biggest Linux supporter since Linus himself. Make no mistake - we have entered the era of socialized software with the exodus of Windows users to the Linux world; we are once again reminded how Lot. son of Abraham. fled Sodom and Gomorrah from evil. Sounds awfully like the droves of Windows users running away from Vista with one or two looking back only to witness the bluescreen of death instead of a pillar of salt! They are fleeing in record numbers from a company that has no morals and no conscious. They are fleeing to the salvation of Linux in all of its holy glory.

The battle of good and evil continues to this day in the form of Capitalism vs. Socialism, Proprietary vs. Open Source. Just like Jesus, Open Source shall overcome and rise again! You can not stop the collective will of the people with crapware made from an evil company with evil business practices. We want software that works, software that Jesus himself would use! We don't want to be polluted with evil satanic software, which crushes the will of the people and oppresses them to the point of hopelessness. But Hallelujah, there is another path! The path of righteousness which the son of God would walk upon with pride, that path my friends is Linux! If you are a true Christian or Catholic, you owe it to your God to cast away evil from your life. Do not allow evil to flourish in your house or on your PC! Do as I have and CAST IT OUT! Send Satan the message that you will not tolerate evil in anyway and will not support the evils of a satanic corporation!

Socialism is truly the will of God in all his merciful glory. No good Christian nor Catholic can with good conscious support capitalism as the will of God. Most of the evil that exists in our lives today is because of the the current trend that corporations are allowed to bend laws and literally get away with murder. You only need to look at the current health care crisis in America with 43 million people with no insurance at all. Thousands die in the USA because their government will not socialize health care, and babies go without the care they need, and no one cares because in that country health care is run by corporations, spreading their satanic will and poisoning the minds of the people.

If Jesus were alive today, there is no doubt according to his own teachings that he would be advocating socialism in government and software. Socializing software such as Linux is vitally important in this culture to lessen the blow of Satan and thereby not support satanic corporations run by the anti-Christ (a.k.a. Steve Balmer). Embrace the light and support Jesus and socialized software or otherwise be condemned to software HELL for supporting the evil doings of an unjust and inhuman corporation. Just like Lot's wife, you too will be turned into a pillar of salt. Bring the light of love into your lives and reject Windows, cast it out and embrace Linux and all of its inherent goodness.

Jesus was NO socialist
To say that Jesus was a socialist is idiotic at best. Socialism has its roots in secular humanism, which is the antithesis of Christianity.

What's more, it seems you don't know what the definition of "Socialist" is. You define it as hating the rich. Socialism is the government owning most of the means of production.

Jesus, in fact, spent time with the rich in many cases. He didn't discriminate based on wealth, as socialists do. He didn't blame the wealthy for others' poverty, again, as socialists do. He advocated personal responsibility over one's life. This is something socialists NEVER do.

Jesus wouldn't have ANY political affiliation at all.

Jesus was NO socialist
I don't know about that TenSigh, the Republicans and Capitalists want us to believe that Jesus was a conservative Republican. Jesus constantly told the rich to give their wealth to the poor; that sounds pretty socialist to me. No one defined it as hating the rich; rather it's defined as sharing the wealth.

Jesus was NO socialist
What a load of bollocks. You clearly know little about socialism, and even less about Jesus or the rest of the Bible. You cheapen and parody people's beliefs in a weak attempt to gain attention. You succeeded. Well done.

It was beautiful
I thought it was a beautiful parody. Infact it made me rethink my life... I'm going to shutdown Vista right now and boot into Ubuntu. I'd like to make this my confession. God and man please forgive me for my wrong in that I installed and defiled this hard-drive with the seven-headed beast that is windows. I repent of my ways and pledge to become a linux developer with a rather large untrimmed beared... Amen.

Jesus' politics were varied
If you really look at the Bible, you will see that Jesus taught elements of many different political schools of thought. He espouses ideals which socialists can understand - caring for the poor, but he also affirms that those who have should be generous and responsible with what they have and that each person should work or they will not eat - a capitalist philosophy. The first disciples lived a communist lifestyle, and Jesus teaching to Chi=ristians is that they put the kingdom of God above all else - and that could be construed as extreme nationalism... he he

At the end of the day though he also teaches that we should not show favoritism to the rich OR the poor, but should let true justice prevail.

His teachings transcend politics and people from everyu poilitical walk have a place in the kingdom of heaven if they accept him and live in relationship with him.

Secular Humanism
It can be argued that secular humanism learned much from Christianity in the first place.

who cares?
Why are we even arguing any of this horse manure? If Jesus were alive today (and it's questionable whether he existed in the first place), he'd be in a mental institution for words and beliefs. Who claims they are the son of god, anyway?

How about saying GNU
I'm a much bigger fan of Jesus than of Richard M. Stallman, but shouldn't you have used him instead of Linus Thorvalds?? He believes in freedom, morality, principles, and the good of mankind, while Linus just is in it for the fun and the technical possibilities. But yes, I prefer Free Software because of following Jesus.
